A Town of Greece man has been charged with making death threats against United States Senator Charles Schumer and Congressman Adam Schiff, because he was upset over the impeachment of President Trump.
Court papers released by federal prosecutors say 57-year-old Salvatore Lippa II quote voicemails allegedly left by Lippa at both officials’ offices. Both were laced with obscenities and made threats of violence.
Both calls were traced to Lippa’s address and he was visited by federal agents. Lippa was charged with threatening to assault and murder a federal official on account of performance of their official duties. He made a preliminary appearance in federal court Wednesday and had nothing to say to waiting reporters.
