The Democratic candidate for Greece Supervisor says incumbent Republican Bill Reilich and his staff have abused town resources. The town’s attorney dismisses the allegations.
Democrat Jim Leary claims Reilich had a Greece Police officer come into the City of Rochester when he became involved in a dispute with another person in the Monroe County GOP office parking lot. Reilich is also county Republican Committee Chair. Leary says Reilich should have called 911. He also says former Deputy Supervisor Michelle Marini drove on 490 with the lights on top of her town car turned on, causing people to pull over in the belief she was a police officer.
Town Attorney Brian Marianetti says that was a simple accident, that Marini didn’t know the lights were on until she noticed people pulling over and switched them off.
As for the parking lot allegation, Marianetti calls that a “cheap political bomb.”
