The Greece Central School District has responded to the Pittsford Central School District, which says its investigation showed an alleged incident of racist name-calling at soccer games last week didn’t happen.

Greece Central said in a statement its staff has also analysed video of the games, spoken to students, parents and game officials, and concluded “Our investigation supports the claims made. We believe our students and will stand by them and their families.”

Greece Arcadia players said they were subject to racially-based taunting including use of the “N” word by Pittsford-Mendon players. Pittsford Central School District officials said in their earlier statement that they also reviewed the game video, spoke with parents and students and officials, and concluded that taunting took place but it was not racially-based.
