ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A grand slam from Blake Swihart propelled the Rochester Red Wings past the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3, Wednesday night at Frontier Field.

Trailing 2-0 in the third inning, Swihart turned on a 3-2, letter high fastball and deposited it over the left field fence.

Carlos Tocci and Andrew Stevenson started the third inning rally with back-to-back singles. Three batters later, Brandon Snyder walked to load the bases and set the stage for Swihart.

Sterling Sharp turned in one of his best performances of the season, striking out a tied for career-high eight over six innings.

After allowing a ninth inning homer on Tuesday, Dakota Bacus worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

Swihart, Tocci and Stevenson all had multi-hit nights for the Wings.

The Wings (23-32) look for back-to-back wins on Thursday night. First pitch at 7:05.
