Former Rochester Mayoral Candidate Rachel Barnhart’s good-government group “Rochester for All” is filing an ethics complaint against the City of Rochester.
Barnhart says the city bought 100 copies of Deputy Mayor Cedric Alexander’s book “The New Guardians-Policing in America’s Communities for the 21st Century.” She says those books were given away during a July, 2016 book signing event at a local restaurant.
Rochester for All says that was using city funds to benefit Alexander personally and professionally, and violates the city’s rule against using city-owned property for the convenience or profit of another person.
