The Genesee Brewing fermentation tanks travelling down the Erie canal are getting closer to Rochester….tying up for the night at Lock E30 in Macedon, Wayne County.
A thousand or so spectators cheered arrival of the first half-dozen tanks on their barges. The second set of tanks which started a day behind has been gradually catching up. Both are expected to start from Macedon sometime on Tuesday morning and arrive in Rochester via Fairport and Pittsford by the end of the day.
They’ll be taken a couple at a time on truck trailers down Lyell Avenue from docks at Lee Road to the Brewery.
