The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says two men armed with handguns robbed the M&T Bank branch in Elba Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies say the two masked men ended up throwing some of the stolen money out the window of their getaway car when a dye pack exploded.
The suspects ditched their getaway car, which turned out to be stolen from Rochester, then stole another car and got away.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to contact them.
