Mayor Lovely Warren joined officials of North American Breweries and MCC at the Genesee Brew House on St. Paul Street to announce “Tap it Forward Day,” coming on Friday, September 9th.
On that day, the Genesee Brewery will be shut down while employees go out into its northeast Rochester neighborhood, working on community revitalization projects. The company says hundreds of its workers will be at project sites designated by the community and the city.
They also announced a $25,000 Genesee Brewers’ Scholarship Fund at Monroe Community College. It will support students interested in a career in brewing and build a local talent pipeline for the company.
