The Gates woman found guilty of shooting her fiance to death will serve 23-years-to-life in prison.
Ronna Nary was convicted by a jury in September of shooting Dennis Perk through the chest as hit sat in a chair at their home on Cole Avenue. Nary said she was a victim of domestic abuse, but prosecutor David Dys called the killing “a calculated act of domestic violence.”
Perks was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant. Both he and Nary were described as alcoholics whose relationship had grown toxic.
