Gates Police arrested two people and recovered a loaded 9mm pistol and more than four ounces of cocaine while investigating reports of a New Year’s Eve hotel party on Chili Avenue.
Police say 21-year-old Demetrius Beard and 30-year-old Shereal Christian, both of Rochester, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance. Both were sent to jail until they can make bail.
