Gates Police have made a number of undercover drug arrests as they fight the plague of heroin and opioid drugs in the community.
The undercover drug details led to the arrests of seven people for dealing in controlled substances from cocaine to oxycodone. One of those arrested was also accused of facilitating prostitution after she allegedly arranged for another woman to fund her drug habit with sex.
Those arrested include:
- Raequan L Johnson of Rochester. The 20-year-old sold cocaine to an,500 bail.
- Tammy L Giardina of Gates, age 50, who sold cocaine and heroin to an undercover officer. She’s being held on $5,000 bail.
- Christine J Baker, a 51- year-old from Gates. She was caught in possession of heroin and cocaine during an undercover detail on Nisa Lane and is currently out on bail.
- Nathaniel C Haygood, 38, from Gates. Charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was found to be in possession of cocaine during that same operation. Also out on bail.
- 21-year-old Mistee Rollow from Rochester, arrested for promoting prostitution and criminal possession of a controlled substanceafter an undercover detail at a motel over the weekend. She advanced prostitution by telling another person to commit prostitution and by giving that person a ride to the location. She was also found to be in possession of oxycodone pills.
- Dezaray M Cannon, 19, from Rochester, arrested for prostitution after that undercover detail at a motel. She will appear in Gates Court at a later date.
- Carlos A Cortes, 28, from Gates, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
