Gates Police say two young men have been charged with second degree arson, for allegedly setting fire to an occupied home on Debby Lane.
Police say 21-year-old Jared Cappon of Greece and 18-year-old Nicholas Caracci of Gates intentionally set the fire on October 13th at 3:00 a.m. The two residents in the house saw the flames and escaped, and the Gates Fire Department extinguished the fire. Investigation found a flammable liquid had been thrown against the side of the home and set on fire.
Gates Police say the two defendants are cousins, and the motive had to do with a domestic relationship.
Cappon is being held on $7,500 bail, and Caracci on $15,000 bail.
