Gates Police are investigating after 17 vehicles were stolen from Hertz Rent-a-Car on Ajax Road in Gates.
Police say surveillance video shows a group of people cutting through the fence of the secured lot, stealing keys to the cars and using a Chevy Suburban to shove other cars out of the way so they could drive off with the stolen cars.
Police say they have already recovered some of the cars and their investigation is continuing.
