A Gates resident who noticed two people with backpacks on 
Belvedere Drive in Gates early this morning called police, who ended up arresting two teenage boys who were breaking into cars.
Gates Police say officers moved into the area on foot and caught a 15-year-old in the process of stealing items from a truck. They caught a 14-year-old boy hiding under the truck, He had a backpack with stolen property in it.
Police are asking Gates residents who live in Belvedere-Overbrook who find their cars were broken into last night to give them a call. They have recovered items and don’t know who they belong to.
Gates Police are also giving a thumbs up to that person who was awake at 1:00 a.m. and noticed something that didn’t look right.
