Gates police have accused five people of stealing thousands of dollars of tools and other items from the Home Depot on Buffalo Road.
Four of the suspects worked at the store.
Police say Samuel Viele (photo), conspired with those four store employees over three months to steal nearly $9,000 worth of merchandise.
A raid at Viele’s house turned up the stolen goods and much more. He’s charged with felony grand larceny and conspiracy. The other suspects face related charges.
