A 28-year-old Gates Man was killed Wednesday evening on Dewey Avenue in Rochester when his motorcycle hit a car that was doing a U-turn.
Police say a 61-year-old woman pulled out from a parking spot heading north on Dewey near Aquinas Institute, then tried to make the U-turn to go south. In doing so, she pulled into the path of the northbound motorcycle which hit the driver’s side of her car.
The woman was injured and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. The motorcycle rider was killed in the crash. Police are continuing to investigate. The crash happened about 6:00 p.m.
