The superintendent of the Gates Chili School District has been replaced by her associate superintendent for instruction…but district officials aren’t saying why.
A letter to parents this week from School Board President Jeff Pettenski says only that Kimberle Ward is “out of the district.” Carol Stehm will serve as interim superintendent in her absence. The letter doesn’t say when Ward left or go into any of the circumstances behind her departure.
The district was working on replacing Kimberle Ward anyway, because she had announced she was retiring at the end of the current school year. She came to the Gates Chili district in 2013 from the Naples Central School District.
