Gasoline prices are rising again across the Rochester area as late summer travel demand brings down the supply.
The AAA says the average price in the Rochester region rose by three cents over the last week to $2.97. The statewide average is $3.01, up a penny from last week.
Buffalo prices are unchanged at an average of $3.00, and Syracuse is up four cents at $2.93.
The Federal Energy Information Administration says demand for gasoline is now at a near-record high, causing prices to rise. The trend is likely to continue until fall.
