Gasoline prices are still dropping across Central and Western New York, although the statewide average is a little higher than a year ago.
The AAA says New Yorkers are paying an average of $2.37 per gallon for regular, down two cents from last week. For Rochester, the average is $2.33, down two cents over the week. Buffalo is $2.34, down by just a penny, and Syracuse is down three cents with the lowest price of $2.27.
Gas prices usually start dropping in November as refineries finish their maintenance season, and they’re expected to keep dropping at least through the end of the year.
