Despite the surge in Thanksgiving holiday travel, gasoline prices went down over the past week.
The AAA says it was the second week-in-a-row of declining prices. The statewide average of $2.68 per gallon was down a penny since last week. For Rochester, the region-wide average is also down a penny at $2.61 a gallon. Buffalo was down a penny at $2.65 and Syracuse down a cent at $2.59.
The AAA says it will release its year-end gasoline price predictions this week.
