Gasoline prices on the national level have turned the corner and started to go up again, but regional prices are still falling.
The AAA says the national price is $2.28, up two cents over the last week. For the Rochester region it’s down two cents at $2.42 a gallon. Syracuse and Buffalo are also down by two cents at $2.36 and $2.51 respectively.
The auto club says crude oil prices are rising, but regionally there was a large drop in gasoline demand at the same time as the dramatic cold wave that hit the area, and that forced prices down.
