With rising spring demand and the hacker attack shutting down the Colonial Pipeline, gasoline prices are surging across New York State.

For the Rochester area, the average price has shot up by six  cents since the pipeline attack, to $2.97 a gallon. For Buffalo it’s up five cents per gallon and for Syracuse, also five  cents in the last week.
