With a major southern pipeline now back in operation, gasoline prices dipped a little last week, but not in central or western New York. The AAA says the state average dropped by a penny-a-gallon for unleaded regular, at $2.39. That’s a nickel more than a year ago.
Rochester and Buffalo’s averages were unchanged at $2.35 a gallon, and Syracuse was down a penny at $2.30.
The auto club says local prices should drop this week as fuel from the Colonial Pipeline reaches New York State. Prices are expected to keep dropping.
