Now that New York State is reopening, gas prices are beginning to rise across the state.
The AAA says the statewide average is up a penny at $2.16 per gallon for unleaded regular. In Rochester, it’s averaging $2.19, unchanged sine last week. Buffalo is down two cents at $2.19 and Syracuse is unchanged at $2.06.
But the AAA says that’s still not much compared with a typical Memorial Day Weekend approaching. That would normally bring some of the highest prices of the year.
