The national gasoline price has turned up again, but the statewide average is still going down.
According to the AAA, the statewide average price for a gallon of gas is $2.50, down three cents over the last week. Rochester is at $2.46 for the five-county region, down two cents. Buffalo is at $2.55, down two cents and Syracuse is at $2.39, down two cents.
The auto club says gasoline demand is on the rise and is much higher than at this time a year ago. But there’s a large supply of gas on hand, which eases prices increases at the pumps.
