The national average price for a gallon of gasoline fell by six cents over the last week, and the New York State Average at $2.83 per gallon is down by four cents.
Prices dropped across Upstate, Central and Western New York. The Rochester average is down by three cents at $2.81. The price in Buffalo averages $2.92, also down by three cents. Syracuse is down three cents at $2.71.
World oil prices fell on Friday according to the AAA, which had a direct impact on pump prices. Now that holiday shopping season is on us, prices may rise slightly along the most traveled roads.
