Gasoline prices have now broken the record set in 2008 during the recession. Today’s national average according to the AAA is $4.17 per gallon, up ten cents since Monday. The New York State average is now $4.37, up 11 cents and the highest ever recorded.
In Rochester, the regional average is now up 9 cents at $4.33 per gallon.
This morning, crude oil topped $120 per barrel as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, leading to higher pump prices.
