The AAA says world oil prices are still low because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but gasoline prices across the U.S. are beginning to rise again as states begin to reopen. New York will consider allowing some regions of the state to reopen on Friday if their infection rates and other indicators continue down.
AAA says the statewide average price is now $2.15 for a gallon of unleaded, down from $2.96 a year ago.
Rochester’s regional average price is up a penny from last week at $2.19 a gallon. Buffalo is unchanged at $2.21 and Syracuse is unchanged at $2.06
