The third time they got it done. Frank Garcia was re-sentenced today on his conviction for attempted murder in Monroe County Court.
Garcia was sentenced to the maximum 25-to-life. He’s already serving four life terms at the Attica Correctional Facility for murdering four people in 2009. He got a fifth life term for the attempted murder charge, but an appeals court overturned that one because of an error in the sentencing guidelines.
Garcia refused to cooperate with a previous sentencing attempt in April, when he wouldn’t speak with his lawyer. Yesterday, the order for him to be brought from Attica to Rochester was misplaced and he wasn’t in court.
Garcia shot and killed two women he believed had gotten him fired as well as their husbands. He wounded another man who tried to defend one of the victims.
