Strong Museum CEO G. Rollie Adams has announced he’s retiring at the end of the year, after nearly 30 years in charge of the National Museum of Play.

The Strong says Adams is retiring effective December 31st. He’ll be replaced as CEO by Steve Dubnik, the former CEO of Lexifone Communications Systems. His background is as an entrepreneur, museum trustee since 2000, and chair of the trustees for the past two years. He also worked on the Strong’s Inner Loop East development proposal.

During his time heading the Strong Museum, Rollie Adams led two major building expansions. He also introduced the National Toy and World Videogame Halls of Fae, the International Center for the History of Electronic Games and the American Journal of Play.
