Father Lawrence Tracy has died in Rochester at the age of 78.
Father Tracy struggled in recent years with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and had been in hospice care.
He was an Irish-German priest who found himself called to minister to Rochester’s Hispanic community, and he did for his entire life after being ordained in 1966 until well after his official retirement in 2002.
