Four people were taken to hospitals after fire broke out at their home in Canandaigua late Sunday night.
The Canandaigua Fire Department says the fire broke out on Scotland Road just off North Main Street and is believed to have started on a first floor porch. They’re ruling it suspicious until they determine the cause. Half-a-dozen fire companies ultimately responded.
Firefighters rescued three of the four with ladders from the second floor. The fourth person escaped from the back door.
The homeowner is being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital for burns to his feet. His wife and son and the son’s girlfriend were treated and released from Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
