Four Rochester men were shot and two of them died in an incident early Sunday morning on State Street near Brown Street.
This happened after the City of Rochester announced on Friday plans to begin curbing a surge of gun violence in the city.
Police identified the dead as 36-year-old Glenn Burden and 31-year-old Travis Johnson. They were pronounced dead after being brought to Strong Memorial Hospital. The other two wounded men were treated and released.
Deputy Police Chief Andre Anderson spoke at a press conference, saying the city’s plan will take time and requires a change in tactics.
