Brighton police have charged four teenage boys with a string of thefts from cars after they were pulled over in a stolen car early Wednesday morning.
Police say the teens, who range from 14-to-17, were in a car that had been stolen in Brighton last weekend. It was filled with stolen items including money and electronics, apparently taken from cars. Police believe all the items were taken from unlocked vehicles.
Police are comparing new larceny reports with the items found in the car to see if the teens are linked to further crimes.
Three of the suspects are being held in secure detention. The 14-year-old was released on an appearance ticket for Family Court.
