Four people were lucky to escape with minor injuries Wednesday afternoon when a dump truck and two cars collided in Rush.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Dean Tuthill says one of the cars ended up crushed beneath the truck. He says the four occupants of the two cars are very lucky that they escaped with only minor injuries. They were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Deputies believe the 20-year-old driver of one car pulled into the path of the dump truck, which was loaded with asphalt. The truck hit his 2008 SAAB, and a second car coming from the other direction was unable to avoid the wreck. All three vehicles ended up in the ditch.
