A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Rochester man after he failed to appear in State Supreme Court.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says 26-year-old Calvin Parnell has been found guilty in absentia by a jury after failing to show up for his trial. Parnell was charged with drug and weapon possession and with endangering the welfare of a child.
Parnell was out on bail. He was arrested last June by Greece Police after they pulled him over for a traffic stop and found crack cocaine on him. He then told officers he’d left his three-year-old home alone. Rochester Police who went to check on the child’s welfare saw heroin on the kitchen counter and got a search warrant for the house. They found two guns and a heroin packaging operation.
