Former Irondequoit police officer William Rosica is going to prison after admitting to cyberstalking his ex-girlfriend.
Rosica had previously pleaded guilty to cyberstalking and was sentenced today in federal court to five years behind bars. As part of his guilty plea, he admitted trying the encourage the woman to kill herself and sending scores of harassing emails to her, her relatives and her employer.
Prosecutors say he tried to keep up his harassment tactics while in jail.
Prosecutors say six other women also claim Rosica harassed them.
