A former Water Utilities Superintendent in the Town of Ontario is accused of failing to fix leaks in the water system, then faking his reports to cover the lost water.
New York State Police say 59-year-old Rodney Peets was arrested and charged with six counts of offering a false instrument for filing, six counts of tampering with a public record and official misconduct. This followed a year-long investigation in conjunction with Wayne County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Comptroller’s Office.
He was arraigned on the charges today.
