An online ad says the carousel at the former Medley Centre mall in Irondequoit has been sold, and will be shipped to an overseas buyer.
The company redeveloping the abandoned mall into a town community center and office complex advertised it for sale on antiquecarousels.com. The listing by the California-based company now carries a banner that says the Italian-made carousel has been sold. It says the purchaser is a company called Collector Concierge International.
The advertised asking price was $245,000, but it doesn’t say what the buyer paid.
Developer Angelo Ingrassia is turning the former mall into Skyview on the Ridge, a business and commercial center that also includes an Irondequoit community center.
