A former mail carrier pleaded guilty in federal court in Rochester to theft of mail.

Federal prosecutors say 26-year-old Timothy Wadsworth of Rochester worked as a mail carrier in 2014 when he abused his position by stealing from the mail.

He took about $2,477 worth of cash, gift cards and other items. They also found 745 pieces of stolen mail in his apartment.
