The former board chairman of the Rochester Housing Authority is facing new charges in a superseding federal indictment. George Moses is charged with 53 counts including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, federal program fraud and aggravated identity theft,

The 50-year-old Moses faced an earlier indictment in October. This superseding indictment includes those charges and adds new ones.

Federal prosecutors say Moses was charged in connection with various schemes to defraud the Rochester Housing Charities, a division of the RHA, and Quad A For Kids. He conspired in connection with former City Councilman Adam McFadden, who was charged separately.

Moses is accused of falsifying invoices so another agency he also headed was paid for work it never performed. He also overpaid a contractor in return for a $25,000 kickback, and had his agency purchase cars for his personal use.
