Former Rochester Deputy Mayor Leonard Redon has passed away.
Mayor Lovely Warren says city hall is offering its condolences. Redon died in Florida surrounded by his family after a fight against lung cancer. He resigned from his city government post last July in order to focus on his health.
Len Redon became Deputy Mayor under former Mayor Tom Richards, and was one of the key officials Mayor Warren kept on after she was elected to the mayor’s office.
Redon is survived by his wife, Denise, his children Jason and Jennifer and their families.
