Health data tracked by Blue Cross Blue Shield shows that so far, this is a milder flu season than last year.
As of last week, the State Health Department says there were more than 16-thousand cases of influenza in New York. That’s 1,300 fewer cases than last season.
Blue Cross says that’s evidence this year’s flu vaccine is a good match to the most common strain of flu out there. The company says the bad news is that only one-out-of three Upstate New York adults gets the shot.
