The College at Brockport says it’s had 375 cases of the flu on campus since the start of February.

Students have been showing up at the Hazen Center for Integrated Care on the SUNY Brockport campus with flu symptoms including fever, cough and congestion. None has been hospitalized.

Nationally, the Centers for Disease Control is calling this influenza season “moderate,” and they say this year’s vaccine was a good match for the strain of flu that’s going around.

Meanwhile, Penfield High School says it’s confirmed a case of whooping cough. A letter was sent to parents yesterday.

The Penfield Central School District says the case was confirmed by the Monroe County Health Department. But it doesn’t say if the illness was in a student, teacher or staff member.

The letter does say they expect more cases to turn up.
