More trouble is coming for Lake Ontario shoreline property owners. The National Weather Service says winds will be swinging back into the northeast Thursday…and that means more flooding from the high Lake Ontario waters.
A Flood Warning has been declared beginning at 6:00 Thursday morning and running until 2:00 a.m. Friday. Moderate northeast winds are expected to drive waves of two-to-five feet along the lakeshore, Irondequoit Bay and the various inlets.
Lake Ontario stands at 248 feet, seven and 3/32s inches…which is down since Saturday’s flooding but still some 30 inches above the long term average for this time of year.
