BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Western New York Flash announced that they have signed Brazilian forward Debinha. Per team and league policy, terms of the contract were not announced.
Debinha, 25, is a native of Barsópolis, Brazil, and has logged 54 appearances for the Brazilians National Team since her debut in 2011. The forward has scored 21 goals for her country, making her 7th all-time for Brazil.
“Debinha comes to us as one of the most exciting players in the world at the moment,” Technical Director Charlie Naimo explained. “Her performance in the Olympics was one of the best. She will be extremely versatile for us and create problems for opponents on both edges.”
After spending three seasons with Avaldsnes IL in the Norwegian Toppserien, Debinha moved to Dalian Quanjian in the Chinese Women’s Super League for their 2016 season.
