Rochester firefighters and paramedics treated three dogs for smoke inhalation last night after a house fire on Sunset Street.
Nobody was home when smoke began coming from the house about 8:00 p.m. but the family’s dogs were inside. One managed to get out on its own and firefighters rescued the others. All needed oxygen and were treated with pet masks, which EMTs carry along with masks for humans.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
