Fire hit the bedroom of a two-family house on Rochester’s northwest side Thursday evening, but it was quickly put out by Rochester firefighters.
The department says light smoke was coming from 872 North Plymouth Avenue when they arrived, and they were able to put out the fire in a front bedroom of the home in minutes. One person was home in the rear unit of the house. He called 911 when he noticed smoke coming from the front unit.
Nobody was hurt and the cause is under investigation.
