New York State Police say a volunteer firefighter was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester Monday night after he was seriously injured in a collision with a truck.

The man is a member of the Fancher Hulberton Murray Fire Company. He was traveling east on Route 31 in Murray on his way to a call when he hit the rear of a truck that was turning left at a grain silo. Police say he was seriously injured.
