A wind-driven garage fire spread to a neighboring house Saturday night on Lyncourt Park in North Greece.
Multiple fire crews responded to the blaze and half-a-dozen nearby homes were evacuated. The North Greece Fire Department says firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained despite the strong winds.
The people and pets inside both affected homes got out safely. One firefighter was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The cause is under investigation.
